Craft Time!!!
Yesterday, since the weather was so bad, we spent the day doing crafts. We made paper birds that were shown in my "Family Fun" magazine. They turned out so cute, and are now my decorations on top of my kitchen cupboards for the spring and summer. (I thought my wall decoration was oddly appropriate for the weather yesterday!)

A Lesson in Peace
John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
This verse has been on my mind the last few days. I have spent the past few days searching for that peace.
All last week Reagan was extremely difficult. She was fussy and clingy and nothing seemed to make her happy. She was a bit congested so I just thought she had allergies.
On Friday morning she seemed to be feeling better, so I decided to get out of the house and run some errands. When I went to get her out of the car she seemed really hot, so I took her temperature and it was 103.2. I gave her Tylenol, but she was acting a little funny, so I called the doctor. While I was on hold with the doctor she started having a seizure.
She stopped breathing and and went limp. I hung up on the Dr and called 911. By the time the paramedics got here she was breathing, but had not opened her eyes and wouldn't respond to me.
She finally opened her eyes when they stuck her heel for a blood sugar test. We went by ambulance to Howard County Hospital. She cried the entire trip, I was so thankful to hear protesting!
Once we got to the hospital her temperature was still up over 103, they gave her Motrin and worked to get her core temp down.
The Dr. ordered a urine sample, blood work, x-rays and a flu test. Reagan was not impressed with any of those. The tests showed that she had a kidney infection.
They did a kidney ultrasound, which showed her kidneys are working regularly, which was such a relief. The Dr. said that most likely the seizure was caused by how quickly her temperature rose.
She had another temperature spike around 6pm, but they were able to get her temp down quickly, and she didn't have another full blown seizure.
In all that craziness, I didn't feel very peaceful, but God gave me the strength to do what I needed to do to take care of my baby. And last night I was able to make a list of the things that I am thankful for.
1) The MP's...they were so kind and calmed me down, and even gave Cameron some attention once the EMT's got here.
2) That Cameron is so resilient! He rolled with the punches of the craziness! He let the MPs into the house and helped me get things together before we went to the hospital. He didn't even blink when I told him that he had to stay with the MPs till my friend Rachel got here.
3) That there is nothing seriously wrong with Reagan. And that she recovered so quickly.
4)For the nurses at Howard County. They were wonderful and reassuring.
Reagan is recovering and was running around last night and today. I am so grateful. She is so full of life!
