June 15th marked Cameron's fourth birthday. I got kinda teary eyed over it. It seems like just yesterday I was preparing for his first birthday.
What really got me this year was the fact that all of his presents were "big boy" presents. Things like light sabers, a leapster two, and most of all his first "big boy" bike really made the point that he is no longer a baby, but a big boy.
This was the first year he really had an opinion on how we celebrated as well. When asked what he wanted for dinner he replied, "Sloppy Joes, French Fries and fruit salad.". For his cake he wanted a chocolate cake with rasberries....quite a grown up request in my mind!
It was a fun and exciting day. A little bitter sweet for this mommy....

Stories from the mind of Cameron

Cameron has written a bunch of stories over the past 24 hours. Thought I would share. They are written exactly how he told them to me.

The One About The Tree

Once upon a time two boys went for a walk. Then they came to a big tree. The wind was blowing it. And then a storm came up. The boys did not know the storm was coming, then a pirate came down from the sky. Then a storm monster came down from the storm. Then killer butterflies came to attack the boys, but they ran away fast.

The End

The Monster

Once upon a time there were two boys who went for a walk. Then they came to a statue, and the statue was dark and started turning into a dark monster.
The monster started to try to eat them, but they ran away fast. And they went home so no monsters can come and scare them.

That's the End

The One About The Water

Once upon a time there were two friends and some water from rain ran by.
And one of the boys slipped into the water and the boy was sad that the other boy was not here. Then the boy got the other boy out of the water.
And then the water went away and the boys went for a walk.
Then they came to a BIG volcano. One of the boys went into it and then the fire came up and he got hurt. The other boy got him out and put a band aid on his head because his head hurt.

And I think that is the end.

The One About The "Interesting"

Tomorrow a boy went for a walk. And then he saw something interesting . It was a trouble thing and he got into it and he was having trouble. And slowly he talked, "I want someone to help me." Then he shouted "I want a friend to help me!"
And then a friend came to him, and she said, "Hi, oh no, one of my friends is having trouble!"
And she got him out.

And that is the end.

The One About Chicken Knight (this one is based on a picture that Andrew drew for him)

Once upon a time there was a chicken knight and a flying rhino flew by.
The pickle princess was captured by the flying rhino. The chicken knight started to save the pickle princess. So off the chicken knight went. The chicken knight rescued the pickle princess and the jelly bean princess'!
He flew up to the flying rhino and tickled him. And the rhino got tired from being tickled by the chicken knight. And the chicken knight finished saving the pickle princess and the jelly bean princess'

And that's the end.
